3.
Add Your Sites Next you
will want to put your sites into rotation. To use our Traffic
Exchange, you must have a site you want to promote. Are you
involved in other traffic exchanges? You can use your
referral url from their site to promote that exchange and get
referrals. Are you selling a product? Place the url
for that product in this area. (Please do not use your
referral url from QH4U on our site. This is a waste of time
and credits, since members viewing our sites already belong to QH4U.)
To add a site: Click on the "Sites"
button located on the Navigation bar on the left side of your Members
Home Page.
Type in
a name that you want to call your site. For example:
If you are promoting another Traffic Exchange, place the name
for that Exchange in this field.
Type
in the url for that site. Most sites will give you a
referring url. You can copy and paste it in the Site field
listed above.
Then
click the Add button. Once you do this a page will pop up and
our Hits Connect Site Checker will check your site to see if it is okay
to run in our rotator.
If
the site passes our check, click on the button, Confirm Site and you
will be brought back to the Sites page. If the site did not
pass our check, go back to the Sites page and check to see if you typed
in the url correctly. Sometimes members end up with two
"http://" at the beginning of the site. If this happens, the
page will not load correctly. If the site has redirects,
multiple pop-ups, framebreakers, malware, or viruses, it will not be
accepted and in this case you will have to select a different site to
promote. In any case, the Hits Connect Site Checker will tell
you the reason it is not accepted when it is checking the site.
4.
Assign Credits
Now
you can assign credits to your site to ensure it gets put into our
rotator. Note: If you do not assign credits to your
sites, the page will NOT get seen.
To assign credits, simply type
in the amount of credits you wish to allocate to this site under the
Assign credits column and click the Assign button at the bottom of that
column. Once you do this, your
site will be in rotation.
You can also delete
this site if you no longer wish it to be in rotation. NOTE:
If you delete a site that has credits assigned to it, ALL
credits will be lost! To delete a site, click the Delete
button next to the site in the column called "Delete Site".
The Views Received Column tells you how many times your site has been
viewed. You can reset this count at any time by clicking on
the Reset text in this same column and next to your site.
Pause URL-if you want to keep this site, but don't want it rotating,
you can click on the Pause URL text below the site.
The Views Assigned column lets you know how many credits you have
allocated to this site. Note: This number goes down
every time your site is viewed. To keep your site rotating,
you must make certain that you have credits allocated to it at all
times.
Repeat the above steps to add more sites to rotation.
